Monet’s Water Lillies

“Monet wanted visitors to be able to immerse themselves completely in the painting and to forget about the outside world.”

We recently made a short trip to Paris, it was too short!  Arriving late on a Sunday night and then back to the airport in the morning three days later meant we only had two full days to explore.

After the best breakfast we had on Monday morning, we walked through the Jardin des Tuileries (the light was so beautiful and I wanted to take a green chair home with me) to the Musee de l’Orangerie.  When I walked into the gallery displaying Monet’s Water Lillies, I was not prepared for how overwhelmed they would instantly make me feel.  In a completely wonderful way I wanted to cry.  Please, go and see them for yourself, you won’t be disappointed.
